Read the market, compare the price, size the stake, then track the result.
How Asian handicap works
Asian handicap gives one team a virtual head start or deficit. It removes or reduces the draw outcome, creating cleaner two-way pricing for football bettors who want more control than standard 1X2 markets.
Common handicap lines
A -0.5 line is similar to backing a team to win. A +0.5 line is similar to double chance. Whole-goal lines can push, while quarter-goal lines split your stake across two adjacent handicaps.
- -1.0: stake refunded if your team wins by exactly one.
- +0.25: half stake on draw-no-bet and half on +0.5.
- -0.75: half stake on -0.5 and half on -1.0.
When to use it
Use Asian handicap when you like a team but the match-winner odds are too short, or when a strong underdog is priced generously to keep the match close. It is especially useful in leagues with many draws.
