Asian Handicap Lines Explained: Half-Ball, Full-Ball and Quarter-Line Breakdown
Demystify +0.25, -0.75, and -1.25 Asian handicap lines to eliminate the draw and secure partial payouts on tight match outcomes.
Why Professional Traders Prefer Asian Handicaps
Unlike traditional 1X2 3-way markets where a draw results in a lost bet, Asian Handicap wagering effectively reduces the outcome to a 2-way proposition with built-in push and half-win/half-loss protections.
Understanding the Quarter-Line Split
A quarter-line bet (such as -0.25 or +0.75) actually splits your single wager into two equal halves across adjacent lines:
- -0.25 Handicap: Half your stake is on 0.0 (Draw No Bet) and half is on -0.5 (must win). If the match ends in a draw, you lose only 50% of your stake and the other half is refunded.
- +0.75 Handicap: Half your stake is on +0.5 (Double Chance) and half is on +1.0. If your team loses by exactly 1 goal, half your stake loses while half pushes for a refund.
